Combined Kinematics
Combined kinematics is the term used where a combination of linear and articulating robot parts are used to create a hybrid of the two. A common configuration is to replace axis 1 of an articulating robot with the axis 1 linear track of a linear robot, thus providing versatility of movement over a large working area.
