Combined Kinematics

Combined kinematics is the term used where a combination of linear and articulating robot parts are used to create a hybrid of the two. A common configuration is to replace axis 1 of an articulating robot with the axis 1 linear track of a linear robot, thus providing versatility of movement over a large working area. A special combined kinematics variant is the RLP laser gantry robot.

Reis' standard RVL range of robots is available with payloads up to 130kg, axis 1 lengths up to 45m and forward reach up to 2350mm. The RLP laser gantry robot has a maximum working area of 4m by 2.4m
