LaserSpy is an innovative development in laser safety in response to the higher safety requirements for safety enclosures resulting from the advent of new high power lasers such as fibre and disc lasers.
Rather than using thick, heavy duty plate construction for laser cell enclosures, a thin sheet double skin cabin can be constructed with a LaserSpy module installed in each panel. The LaserSpy monitors the internal cavities in each panel for laser radiation, resulting from the laser penetrating the inner skin. As soon as radiation is detected, the laser power source can be disabled - ensuring that personnel outside the cabin are safe.
