Olympus can supply both linear (cartesian) and articulating robots and complete systems for tending a wide range of machines including CNC machines, injection moulding machines and presses.

Depending on cycle times and distances one robot may be able to tend several machines. A robot with the combined kinematics of linear and articulating axes can provide a large working area and flexibility in the orientation of the workpiece.

Reis robots are available for payloads up to 600kg. A wide range of mechanical, vacuum and magnetic grippers can be supplied, along with auxilliary equipment such as conveyors.

Reis robot software includes many special built in functions for workpiece handling, including functions to optimise robot movement according to payload and the timing of other machines - minimising cycle time and robot wear and tear.

The integrated virtual PLC within the Reis robot controller allows for background interfacing and control of other machines, in parallel with the control of the robot itself, without the need for a separate PLC. In this way, the robot can even be used as the master controller for the complete system.
