Tryout/Spotting Presses

Olympus can supply Reis tryout/spotting presses for preparing and maintaining dies and moulds for production.

Platen sizes range from 560 x 670mm to 3000 x 4000mm for die weights of up to 1000 tonnes and pressure forces up to 4000kN. Press movement and pressure are infinitely variable using a user friendly operator panel and joystick position control. The press can be positioned to within 0.1mm.

The lower platen tilts and the upper platen swivels out of the press, giving easy access for working on the dies. Special reusable injection compound 'paraform', can be used to check a mould without refitting it to the production machine.

Reis also have a range of trim presses for trimming die cast parts.
