Dinse Plasma Welding
Dinse plasma welding torch with integrated cold wire feed.
Complete plasma welding system, available from Dinse.
The sharpness of a plasma arc and the precision of a Dinse PUSH_PUSH wire feed system are combined to produce highly accurate welds.
With plasma welding, the arc is constricted to a narrow 'beam' with minimal divergence so that all the energy is concentrated into a small area. This results in a narrow weld pool and less heat input.
The equipment is light and compact giving good access to difficult shape parts. The electrode is set to a preset position allowing accurate welding. With a pilot arc, a 100% ignition success rate is achievable.
The plasma welding process is suited to welding of high alloyed steels and nickel based alloys or brazing surface-coated materials.
The plasma torch head is used with the same hose package and ancilliary equipment as MIG and TIG - only the selection of the torch head determines the process.
Olympus can also supply robots for a complete automated plasma welding solution.
